Position Summary

The Department of Criminal Justice and Sociology invites applicants for a tenure-track Associate/Full Professor position beginning August 2017.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Education

Applicants should have a terminal degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or Administration of Justice.

Minimum Required Experience

Areas of specialization desired are, statistics, research methods or theory.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Teaching load is between 9-12 credit hours per semester, depending on faculty status and advising responsibilities of graduate students.

• All faculty are expected to participate in delivering college-wide first and second year core courses that emphasize writing, speaking, and the use of technology.

• For tenure track positions, the successful candidates will provide evidence of excellence in teaching, ongoing scholarship, grantsmanship, and professional development that will enable them to meet the criteria for promotion and tenure at the appropriate time in the Department of Criminal Justice and Sociology.

• Provide research and service to university and community.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
